Testosterone Enanthate is simply Testosterone with the Enanthate ester bound to the Testosterone chemical structure. Once Test E enters the bloodstream, enzymes work to break the bond between the ester and the hormone, which takes a varying amount of time. The end result is that the ester is removed from the hormone by enzymes, and what is left is pure Testosterone that is free to do its work in the body.

Testosterone is simply the ester bound enanthate that is bound to the Testosterone chemical structure. ‘Enanthate’ is primarily Enanthoic acid but when combined with testosterone, it is termed in chemistry as an ester bond. Enanthoic acid is assorted with the 17-beta hydroxyl group on the Testosterone structure. These esterified anabolic steroids are more fat soluble and has a slow release from the injection site. The main reason of its augmented half-life and slow release rate is because once Testosterone Enanthate infuses into the bloodstream, enzymes become active to break the amalgam between the ester and the hormone, which demands different amounts of time. As an end result, the ester is removed from the hormone by enzymes and what remains is pure testosterone that can freely work in the body. The slower release rates are due to the separating process of ester from the testosterone molecule.

Testosterone, without being combined with ester, has a half-life of 2-4 hours. As soon as the ester is amalgamated with testosterone thereby making it Testosterone Enanthate, the half-life of the same is extended to 10 days which initiates a slower release and activity of the hormone.

Endogenous Testosterone helps accelerate sexual maturation at all stages of development in life. It is prepared from cholesterol synthetically. The androgens development in male starts in the fetus which is crucial during puberty and perennially plays an important role in the life of an adult male. Women also produce small amounts of testosterone in the ovaries. The androgens that secrete from the adrenal cortex are insufficient to maintain male sexuality.

Increased androgen plasma concentrations subdue gonadotropin-releasing hormone (reducing endogenous testosterone), luteinizing hormone, and follicle-stimulating hormone through a negative-feedback mechanism. Testosterone is also responsible for formation of erythropoietin, the balance of calcium, and blood glucose. Androgens swiftly enter cells of target issues because they have high lipid solubility. Testosterone undergoes enzymatic conversion to 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone inside the cells and forms a loosely bound complex with cystolic receptors. This steroid-receptor complex brings about the transcription and cellular changes in the nucleus from which Androgen action arises.

Endogenous androgens stimulate RNA polymerase which boosts the protein production. These proteins work towards developing male sexuality, boost growth and help the prostate, seminal vesicle, penis, and scrotum to mature. Androgens cause a sudden spurt in development in muscle during male puberty and redistribute the body fat. As a result, some noticeable changes occur in the male bodies including vocal chord development thereby thickening the voice. Puberty is completed with the beard development and body hair growth. Androgens also oversee fusion of the epiphyses and termination of growth. It further helps maintain spermatogenesis. For normal male growth and development use of exogenous androgens are necessary when endogenous androgens are unavailable.

What is the difference between testosterone enanthate and cypionate and propionate?

Jeremy Van Dijk, athlet, bodybuilder:

Enanthate, cypionate and propionate are different types of esters attached to testosterone. The purpose of attaching them is to delay the hormone’s release into the bloodstream. That being said, testosterone enanthate has a half life of 7 days, testosterone cypionate has a half life of 6 days, and testosterone propionate has a half life of 2-3 days. So, the difference between the three lies in the period for which it stays in your system.

How much testosterone enanthate should i take?

Jeremy Van Dijk, athlet, bodybuilder:

Testosterone enanthate is available in 5ml multi-use glass vials. It is injected into the deep muscles of buttock, thigh or upper arm once every 1-4 weeks. The dosage recommended to you depends on your condition and the purpose for which you are using it. For male hypogonadism, you need to take 50-400mg every 2-4 weeks. For delayed male puberty, take 5-200mg every 2-4 weeks for 4-6 months. For metastatic breast cancer, take 200-400mg every 2-4 weeks. For transgender hormone therapy, take 50-200mg per week.

How much does testosterone enanthate cost?

Jeremy Van Dijk, athlet, bodybuilder:

A single vial of 200mg/ml testosterone enanthate costs around $30, but if you buy a pack of 10, a single vial may cost as less as $18-20. However, this cost does not include the cost of your doctor’s visits, and the cost of syringes and needles if you are self-injecting. Some insurance companies cover these costs, but you should check with yours before making your final decision.
